Suprabha Seshan

Suprabha Seshan is a rainforest conservationist and environmental educator based in Wayanad, Kerala. Her work explores how humans participate in ecology—the beneficial and the harmful—and the behaviours that bring us into reciprocal relations with non-humans. She facilitates immersive programmes rooted in this inquiry.

Her writing has appeared in Scroll, The Indian Quarterly, Economic and Political Weekly, The Journal of Krishnamurti Schools, Centre for Humans and Nature, The Dark Mountain Project, and other publications. She received the Whitley Award (the “Green Oscars”) in 2006 and Sanctuary Nature Foundation’s Green Teacher Award in 2022. Since 2021, she has served on the Steering Committee of the Ecological Restoration Alliance of India.
