Temsula Ao
Temsรผla Ao (1945โ2022) was an Indian poet, short story writer, ethnographer, and educator from Nagaland. She taught English at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) until her retirement in 2010 and also served as Director of the North East Zone Cultural Centre. A recipient of the Padma Shri, she was widely recognised for her contributions to literature and education. Her short story collection Laburnum for My Head received the Sahitya Akademi Award, and her works have been translated into several Indian and international languages.
